Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his producer wife, Michele, set off waves of tributes and memorials, but for some families, it stopped them cold.

Authorities say filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were killed Dec. 14. Their son Nick, long battling addiction despite his family’s support, is now charged with their murders.

The famed actor/director and spouse Michele Singer were found dead inside their Los Angeles home Sunday afternoon.

Kelly: “While it looks like Michele and Rob did everything within their power once they realized their kid was an addict to try to help him, that's not good enough. You have to head it off at the pass.”
