Temperatures will be trending a few degrees above normal today before another cold front sends them crashing down again by Sunday.
Friday will feel markedly colder, with high temperatures only reaching the upper 20s and wind chills hovering around 10 degrees as strong westerly winds continue.
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect from midnight until 9 AM Thursday. Areas of fog, sometimes dense, will develop overnight into Thursday morning. There is a chance of rain showers tonight and this may limit the fog development in parts of southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.
A cold front is expected to blast Minnesota with a “melting pot of hazards” as soon as Thursday evening, including high winds and plummeting temperatures followed by eventual snow showers headed into the weekend.

Thursday morning in North Texas is mild and humid ahead of a cold front that will move through, increasing winds.
A weak cold front will pass through the area this evening and overnight. This may spark a few showers and thunderstorms near the frontal system as it races east. The weather should quiet down tonight after the front passes and will allow cooler air to settle in on Friday.
The rollercoaster temperature ride will continue tonight with a cold front pushing in late. Temperatures will once again drop into the 40s and 50s for Friday morning with a chilly day to finish the week with highs in the 60s even with mostly clear skies.
Short sleeves will be replaced with coats as a cold front is on its way, dropping temperatures to possibly the lowest of the season Sunday night.
A weak cold front will make its way into Southeast Texas later this afternoon. Since the frontal timing is after peak heating for most areas, expect high temperatures mainly in the low to mid 70s (upper 60s up north). Houston weather: Cold front to bring a chill to the area Thursday night, Friday
Following the brief cooldown on Friday, temperatures will soar to near 80° both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Look for plenty of sunshine Saturday and more clouds Sunday along with the chance for a few light rain showers. The weather still looks pretty nice though for Texans tailgating Sunday.
A cold front is expected to approach Central Florida on Thursday and Friday. Warmer temperatures could lead to scattered rain chances and isolated storms, according to NWS Melbourne. Rain chances are at 30 percent for the Greater Orlando area and 40 percent in Daytona Beach, mainly after 4 p.m.
